A special summer edition of our Spanish speaking experience as we welcome the beautiful weather, longer days, and everything that comes with it!!

Still the same essence, the same meaningful conversations…but this time, we’re taking things to a new setting.

We’ll be gathering on a private rooftop at Sabbia, with open sea views, a live DJ set by Lowtide Ritual, matcha by Matcha Cha Cha, and, of course, our Spanish trainer by Jane Rey.

This is not a typical language exchange or a mixed language meetup. It is a safe and supportive space to practice Spanish as it is actually used in real conversations.

No textbook Spanish. No forced small talk. Just meaningful connections over a drink on a rooftop by the beach.

The experience is guided by an experienced Spanish trainer who gently supports the conversations with practical tips while keeping everything fun, relaxed and natural.

What to expect:

This is a relaxed and interactive way to practice conversational Spanish. You’ll take part in 4 guided 10-minute rounds, chatting with people at a similar level so conversations feel natural, enjoyable, and confidence-boosting.

During the event you will:

  • Practice Spanish imperfectly and without judgment

  • Learn new vocabulary through real conversation

  • Build confidence speaking Spanish

  • Connect, laugh, and enjoy the experience.

The vibe is low-pressure, safe, welcoming, and social. With warm energy and a strong sense of community.

After the rounds, we stay. The music continues, the sun starts to set, and the space opens into a more relaxed social experience.

How it works

At signing up, you’ll complete a short form to indicate your Spanish level. Based on this, participants are divided into three groups for smoother conversations, less English, and more confidence:

  • Level 1: Principiante (A1–A2)

  • Level 2: Intermedio (B1)

  • Level 3: Avanzado (B2–C1)

You’ll be paired with participants at your level throughout the event.

After the conversation rounds, we come together over coffee - a chance to keep chatting, connect naturally, and enjoy being part of the community.

FAQ:

What Spanish level do I need to attend?

All levels are welcome! Participants are paired by level so whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced, you will practice Spanish with other participants at your level.

Is this a Spanish class?

This is not a class but a guided speaking activity designed to help you practice real conversational Spanish in a relaxed social setting. The focus is on speaking imperfectly, connecting and building confidence. No textbooks or complicated grammar.

I’m nervous about speaking Spanish, is this for me?

Absolutely! This is a pressure-free space where mistakes are welcome. Conversations are adapted to your level and guided so that you can express yourself naturally.

How does this activity work?

You’ll take part in short, guided conversations with different participants at your level, followed by quality time to connect more freely over good coffee or tea. A Spanish teacher is present throughout the experience to support and help if you get stuck.

Is it only for expats or native Spanish speakers too?

Not at all. Spanish, Coffee & Connections is open to everyone. The mix is actually what makes it special: different backgrounds, different accents, real life conversations. We’ll group the people based on language level so everyone feels at ease and can enjoy without pressure or awkwardness.

Is this event for women only?

This event is open to everyone. We aim to create a safe, relaxed, and respectful space for all participants.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If anything changes and you can’t make it, just let us know so we can offer your spot to someone else.

Thank you!
